If you live in Surrey, Richmond, or Burnaby and cannot visit my clinic, I offer home visit acupuncture services. Please review the FAQs carefully and contact me if you are certain you require a home visit.

Home Visit FAQ

1. What should I expect during my home visit acupuncture session?

Your first session includes a detailed assessment, consultation, and acupuncture treatment. Expect a 1.5-hour session where Neil will evaluate your condition and create a personalized treatment plan. Follow-up sessions are 1 hour and focus on continued treatment.

2. How should I prepare for my appointment?

  • Eat a light meal beforehand to avoid dizziness.

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing for easy access to acupuncture points.

  • Choose a quiet and clean space where you can relax during treatment.

3. What conditions can acupuncture help with?

Acupuncture may assist in pain relief, stress reduction, digestive issues, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, and more. If you have a specific concern, Neil will discuss how acupuncture may benefit you.

4. Is acupuncture painful?

Most patients feel little to no pain. You may experience a slight tingling or dull ache when needles are inserted, which typically subsides quickly.

5. Are there any side effects?

Common side effects are mild and may include:

  • Temporary soreness

  • Minor bruising

  • Lightheadedness or fatigue

  • Pneumothorax

6. What are the fees for home visit acupuncture?

  • Initial Session (1.5 hrs): $120

  • Follow-Up Sessions (1 hr): $100

  • Home Visit Travel Fee: $30 per city traveled from Surrey

  • Medical Chart Request Fee: $15 per page

Total fee for the first session: $150

Total fee for follow-up sessions: $130

7. How can I pay?

Payments can be made via cheque or e-transfer. We do not accept cash on-site.

8. Can I get a refund if I cancel my appointment?

No refunds will be provided for completed services or travel fees. If you need to reschedule, please notify Neil at least 24 hours in advance. A $50 fee for last-minute rescheduling is payable upon arrival.

9. Does Neil provide medical prescriptions or equipment?

No, Neil does not prescribe medication or sell medical equipment. Any recommendations for supportive devices are optional and solely intended to speed up the recovery process. It is at the patient’s discretion to obtain them.
