Frequently Asked Questions

  • Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has evolved over thousands of years. Skilled TCM practitioners use various psychological and/or physical approaches (especially acupuncture) as well as herbal products to address health problems.

  • Acupuncture needles are ultra-thin needles, they are sterile, single-use tools used during treatment. They are inserted at specific acupuncture points to stimulate healing. All needles are professionally handled to ensure safety and comfort.

  • During acupuncture services, thin, sterile needles are inserted at specific points on the body by a skilled practitioner. This type of acupuncture stimulates the central nervous system, encouraging the release of natural pain-relieving chemicals and improving circulation. Each session is tailored to your condition to ensure safety, comfort, and effectiveness.

  • Acupuncture is effective for many types of pain, including lower back pain, neck and shoulder pain, migraines, arthritis, and nerve pain. It can also help relieve pain from health conditions like fibromyalgia, sciatica, and diabetic neuropathy. Whether you’re managing chronic or acute pain, acupuncture offers a natural, lasting solution.

  • Yes, acupuncture supports both physical and mental health. Many people with chronic pain also struggle with anxiety, stress, or depression. Acupuncture helps regulate the nervous system, improving mood, sleep, and emotional resilience while treating physical pain. Please read my blog to learn more.

  • If you're considering a pain clinic, acupuncture can be a valuable alternative or complementary treatment. It addresses a wide range of pain conditions without relying on medication. Many people find lasting relief after trying acupuncture when other methods haven’t worked.

  • When pain occurs, acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body to release natural pain-relieving chemicals, reduce inflammation, and restore proper circulation. It targets the root cause of pain instead of simply masking symptoms like conventional pain medicine.

  • Acupuncture can relieve pain, reduce stress, improve sleep, balance hormones, and support digestive and immune health. Many patients experience both immediate and long-term benefits from regular treatment.

  • Results vary based on individual conditions, but many patients experience significant relief after just 1–2 sessions.

  • When performed by a qualified practitioner, acupuncture is very safe and has no serious side effects. Some patients may experience slight bruising or mild soreness at the needle site, but these effects are temporary and rare.
